Field Service Technician

New Frontier Technologies (NFT) is currently looking for experienced Field Service Technicians. This full-time contract position is responsible for the on-site installation, configuration and commissioning of Supervisory Automation and Control Systems involving wireless and wired sensors. The position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work independently with little or no supervision. Must be proficient with hand tools and multi-meters and have good computer skills.

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide on-site job planning and layout design of system installation
• Install and commission Cisco Routers
• Install and commission wired and wireless sensors and control devices (door switches, temperature probes, current measurement, relays, etc.)
• Supervise on-site electrical subcontractor

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 year technology or electronics degree
• 3-5 years of industry experience
• Ability to read and understand building plans and electrical schematics
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing
• Ability to work with all levels of electrical voltage – single and three phase
• Understanding of digital and analog circuits
• Ability and willingness to travel (up to 90%)
